Father's Day starts here
If we have Mother's Day, we must not forget Father's Day.
Father's Day originated in the United States. A woman named Sonora Smart Dot, remembering her father who raised six children alone, proposed to her church that "if there is a Mother's Day, there should also be a Father's Day," which led to the creation of Father's Day.
Why June?
It is said that this is because it was Sonora's father's birthday month, and the first Father's Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910.
Father's Day was introduced in Japan around 1950, but it is said that it did not become widely known until the 1980s.
