Easter Rainbow Happy Eggs

At Easter, people paint their favorite patterns on egg shells using their favorite colors.

Egg crafting , which involves decorating egg shells, is a popular event in Europe.

In fact, this culture originated in Ukraine.

It is said that Easter eggs became popular throughout Europe around the 11th century. In Ukraine, colorful eggs called pysankas or pysankas are decorated using a wax-dyeing technique called batik.

Did you know that each color used in egg crafts has a specific meaning?

Red represents the passion of the sun and the warmth of happiness and hope.

Orange has a vitamin-like energy, strength and brightness.

Pink represents success, and blue represents a heart as wide as the sky, a sense of openness and good health.

The green color represents gratitude for the blessings of nature and the importance of life.

Purple also represents compassion and support.

And finally, the color white represents the birth of life and a pure white wish for a peaceful world.

Easter egg culture is surprisingly imbued with deep meaning. Why not try making your own special "lucky egg"? Oh, and apparently in Romania, people decorate eggs with beads too.
