[Butter aroma and flavor]
I made a cake using butter from here in the Alps.
It's really flavorful and rich!
Just changing one ingredient can make such a difference in taste.
Last night, my neighbor Manu invited me to dinner at his mountain hut.
Apparently you drive up the mountain and walk through the mountains to reach the hut.
We gathered at Manu's house at 7pm, and about 15 people had gathered.
From there, the aperitifs began and it didn't seem like we were heading to our destination.
And me.
I was already feeling dizzy from jet lag, and having drunk the supposedly homemade quince liquor, I was completely sleepy, so I gave up on hiking up the mountain.
My husband and daughter joined me instead, leaving me behind, and they said it was a truly mystical experience walking up the snowy mountain while looking up at the stars and eating at a mountain hut.
It's rare to get such an experience!
Invitations to dinner also change depending on where you live or the region.
The people are also very tasteful.
