Quiche? | Mini Content

Quiche is a savory tart that originated in Lorraine and Nancy in the east of France and is available in every bakery in France. Recently, it has also become popular in many bakeries in Japan.

Do you know the origin of the name of this quiche?

I looked into it out of curiosity ...

It is said that the name comes from the German word kuchen ( sweets ) or the Lorraine dialect francique küchen ( these two are so close ! ), or kich ( kitchen ) , due to the region's proximity to Germany .

By the way, originally quiche did not contain bacon and was very simple.
