Louis XIV and the orchard

Out of curiosity, I was researching French fruits and discovered that Louis XIV was a huge fruit lover! Apparently, he had an orchard. There were over 700 fruit trees planted in the orchard, and 4,000 pieces of fruit were delivered to the king every day. Louis XIV's favorite food was strawberries. However, he was allergic to them and was banned from eating them, so his next favorite food was pears. He also apparently liked figs and peaches.

It is well known that he surprisingly does not like alcohol or coffee, but loves vegetables, fruits, and above all, sweets.
