"Agneaux Pascal" literally translates to "Easter lamb," a sweet eaten in the Alsace region during Easter, the most important Christian festival . The lamb symbolizes Christ's sacrifice to God, and represents the concepts of innocence and obedience. The Agneaux Pascal type is famous for its pottery, made using traditional methods using the special red clay of the village of Soufflenheim in the Bas-Rhin department.
Due to the nature of the product, it is originally split in half from the center. Please be aware of this before purchasing.
Skilled craftsmen bake each piece of pottery and then split it in half from the center.
There are small chips and uneven thickness, and the cross section is distorted and uneven.

After use, gently rub with tissue or dry toner to remove any stubborn dirt. Washing with water is not recommended as it will trap moisture in the ceramic.
