The special item is a sweet called Escargot Bread!

Escargot bread originates from the Alsace region of France and is a brioche and custard cream pastry. Its name comes from its shape like a caterpillar. Although it has its roots in Eastern France, the French name for it is "Chinese."

Lacson's escargot bread is a single portion, but on this page I'll give you a recipe for a traditional French escargot bread that serves eight.

Escargot bread recipe

[Ingredients] For 8 people

For the brioche

・Powder: 500g
・Sugar: 50g
・Baker's yeast: 15g
・Salt: 3g
・Eggs: 2 ・Milk: 20cl

・Butter: 100g

For the custard cream

・Milk: 40cl
・Egg yolks: 2 ・Egg: 1 ・Sugar: 100g
・Cornstarch: 32g

・Vanilla pod: 1
